Verband der Thüringer Pferdezüchter win 2005 Young Breeders competition

aarhus_pic1The third International Young Breeders competition is won by the Verband der Thüringer Pferdezüchter. The 2005 competitions were held in Aarhus, Denmark. A record number of 15 teams from 6 nations competed at the championships that where once again dominated by the German teams. Members of Dansk Varmblod had put 30 mares of different types, age and education at the disposal of the competition.
Teams from Belgium, Canada, USA, Denmark, Germany (10 teams) and Ireland were divided into two age group categories and were judged on five different disciplines:

(*Presenting a mare in-hand
(*Judging of mares
(*Judging the gaits of loose horses
(*Judging the jumping of loose horses

President of World Breeding Federation for Sport Horses and chairman of Dansk Varmblod; Jan Pedersen emphasised at the prize giving ceremony that he had been proud to host the competition for Young Breeders and that he would do his best to support the work among young breeders all over the world with the purpose of getting better horses for the riders.
